With the rapidly growing internet market, web designing trends have also been taking a toll higher than ever before. It becomes more like a competition among web designers to bring out attractive, innovative and user-friendly website layouts. If you already have a website you may have to think on redesigning or renovating your website.

In fact, web designing is acting like a fashion industry where what’s in one day could be totally played by the end of the week. In that case, web designers have to really be up on all the new trends to be relevant and abreast of what’s next after that trend. Here we discuss fresh and creative web design techniques which are ruling nowadays and going to do the same in coming time. Though the trend is important, it is better to know about effective web design stages first.

More White/Negative Space is a trend in creative web design

Super clean, easy to understand and eye-soothing designs were all over last year. However, the trend has been changed with more white and negative space designs. As negative space is one of those artistic guidelines that pretty much says every inch of the canvas, it doesn’t need to be filled with stuff. The trend of negative space in web design is excellent because we are transitioning to an era where we want and desire less fluff. Every time when we visit websites we know exactly what we want, or we want to be able to figure out exactly what’s in front of us without doing much searching. So design simple, more with white and create negative space. You don’t need to think about how you can design to create space. Create as you normally would and see what you can remove to get the look you’re going for.

Web design elements for creative websites

Color selections (Peach and Salmon)

Color of a website is really a very important element which fetches people. When we talk about the latest trends, peach and salmon are the most liked and loved hues that you can pick for web designing. The color for this year is this fleshy, pink, salmon color. Earlier, blue was unbeatable when it came to the website design. A lot of popular sites, from corporate to recreational, designed with different shades of blue. In fact, a shade of blue will probably get you a nice website. Even for a while or maybe still, dark themed websites had also stoned the thunder.

The point is, for many of the colors, you can reference a point in time. Now you will see more bright colors that go well with almost any other color and any other neutral. It’s calming without being too boring and predictable. It’s charming without being too bold and loud. This is a great color that many people will at least experiment with web designing.

Bigger is Better

Designing is not limited to monitors but also with tablets and mobile phones. So when you go to designing a website,  design accordingly. Websites need to be visible in the palm of our hands. Many designers have met this task by upping the size of text and images in web design. However, they haven’t been too ridiculous or gone overboard. Now, is the time to go overboard. We’ve been designing as we normally would, but everything has been a couple of pixels taller and wider. As a matter of fact, we’ve taken many of our ideas from print and implemented them on screen. It’s time to maybe mix the two or get back to the web. You can try huge fonts around size 64px and 72px and also go with Fit-Text so your fonts can scale down for different screen sizes.

Moving Images in web designing

Yes, this trend is huge in the internet market. And with growing technology adding moving images and videos to a site is become easier. As an added advantage, these designs don’t take a ton of space. It adds a bit of fascination to your typical images or even your typical slider. Movement is eye-catching and now you don’t have to do that solely with static images. You can go with dynamic images that bust the creative playing field wide open. For practice, you can check out some tutorials and such that talk about HTML5 video to get started.

No more stock photography

Pictures used in a website plays a vital role and many companies have already started using their own photographed images for a better impression. As a visitor’s point of view, it is also noticed that they also like the website which is more realistic. They don’t want the glamour shots anymore in web design. Thus it is time to present real photos which are creative, related to the site and tells a story to the visitor. The idea is to make things real for your group of consumers and that’s not always a bunch of flavorless photos and glamour shots. Most web designers don’t have a ton of control over photography. However, it remains important that the personality of a brand is portrayed online. Hiring a good photographer is quite easy and cheap these days, and use those pictures instead of picking and pasting from elsewhere.
